Over 70 players across three age groups descended on Parsons Meadow, Wigan St Judes yesterday as the county came together to officially launch their preparations for the 2017 BARLA Tri-Series.
Open Age hopefuls were put through their paces by assistant coach Craig Farrimond before being split into two teams for a 50 minute trial game.
This proved a competitive work out for everyone and head coach Mick Blakeley and fellow assistant Lee Rowley were impressed by the skills and commitment shown by each and every player.
The Lancashire committee would like to thank all clubs for putting forward their players and wish everyone well ahead of the final selection process.
Both Under 17s and Under 19s sides are further on in their preparation, having selected the names that are going to go forward and represent the county in games against Yorkshire and Cumbria.
